Storm is more than just another travel basketball team. In the four seasons we’ve worked with this team, we’ve been very impressed with the focus on building strong basketball fundamentals while challenging each individual player to develop a skill set that fits their personal basketball game. The parent-coach-player communication and feedback is incredible; emails go out regularly telling parents what is being worked on during practice, calling out skills to practice at home, and analyzing the games so everyone can be on the same page. We have had the privilege of working with all three coaches - Justin, Troy, and Alec - and have been so appreciative of their ability to be on the same page while drawing on their different backgrounds to offer the players unique perspectives and insights into the game of basketball. This organization is dedicated to improving athletes in every category; they have brought in experts on shooting, agility, stretching, and nutrition as well as motivational basketball speakers. With the addition of a state of the art basketball facility in the coming months, Storms commitment to youth basketball in our community is unparalleled.

Our son has been playing basketball with Coach Justin and Coach Troy for over a year. Their knowledge and experience, patience and support have been wonderful for him. He has grown so much as a player and as a person. We are so thankful for this program and opportunity for him to focus on and play the game he loves. 

My son was lucky enough to get Justin as his CYO coach in his 3rd grade year. Justin’s enthusiasm and dedication to the game and the kids was absolutely refreshing. Our journey with Justin continued as he felt it was better for the team, and most importantly the kids’ growth as basketball players, to move from CYO to Travel Ball. We immediately said yes to the move as my trust in Justin runs deep. Fast forward to today where we are moving with Justin again because his pursuit for what is best for our kids is relentless. My son and I are excited for the new venture and cannot wait to be a part of the change that Santa Rosa and the surrounding area has been lacking for so long. THE STORM IS COMING and it’s going to be beautiful.

Our daughter has been playing with the Storm coaches for the last few years and this is the best of the best for basketball in Sonoma County.  Playing for Storm has not only greatly improved our daughter’s basketball skills, but more importantly, it has given her so much confidence both on and off the court.  The ever-encouraging coaches are knowledgable, positive, and dedicated.  We highly recommend this organization!
